Why Indian flax seeds for export
India is one of the top global producers of flax seed (linseed). Central Indian states — Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh — produce both brown (standard) and golden (specialty) varieties at competitive export prices. The oil content of Indian flax is consistently high (38–42%), making it attractive both as a whole seed and for cold-press oil extraction.
Flax seed ships in two colour grades: brown flax is the global standard, used for omega-3 supplementation, baking, and oil pressing; golden flax (a slightly different cultivar) has a milder flavour and visual appeal for premium retail.
ZoeM works with cooperative grower networks across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Processing includes mechanical cleaning, sieving, density grading, and cold storage to preserve oil quality. Pre-shipment testing covers moisture, foreign matter, oil content, and pesticide residues.
