Why Indian chia seeds for export

India has emerged as a globally competitive producer of chia seed (Salvia hispanica) over the past decade. Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan now produce export-grade chia at price points significantly below the traditional source (South America). For B2B buyers in the wellness / functional food space, Indian chia offers the best price-quality ratio.

Chia seed ships in two colour grades: black chia (the standard global format — dark brown to black seeds, higher omega-3 content claimed by some studies) and white chia (premium specialty, lighter colour, mild flavour, used for visual appeal in salads and beverages).

ZoeM works with cooperative growers across Madhya Pradesh. Pre-shipment processing includes mechanical cleaning, sieving, density grading, and moisture control. Every batch is NABL-tested for purity (99.5%+), moisture (<10%), foreign matter, and pesticide residues against EU/USA MRL lists.
